Alex Trebek dropped this week he’s going to probably renew his contract in 2020, and he was considering retirement from Jeopardy! after it expires.

LA Kings announcer Alex Faust was nonimated by Trebek as one of his potential replacements.

His BIO from NHL.com:

He has called hockey games on NBCSN, NESN and Westwood One Radio. From 2013-15 he was a radio broadcaster for the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Utica Comets, calling the first game in franchise history, serving as the “Inside the Glass” reporter for the 2015 AHL All-Star Game, and calling games during the team’s run to the Calder Cup Finals in 2015.

This guy looks like the heir apparent. You need someone young enough to take over the job for the next 40 years. Ask questions, get paid a ton of money. Not a bad gig. I’m sure he can still call hockey games as a side hustle.
