Where’s Kyrie going? If Kobe Bryant has anything to do with it, he’ll end up on the Lakers. Kobe is trying to restore the Lakers to greatness. First step, get back LeBron and Kyrie together on the same team.
However Ric Bucher says there’s two teams in play.
Kobe Bryant has been actively recruiting Kyrie to join LeBron James in L.A though.
He told FS1’s Colin Cowherd on Tuesday:
“The latest that I’ve heard is that it’s between Brooklyn and the Lakers.” In regards to Kobe Bryant’s involvement, Bucher adds, “Kobe indicated to me that he was not involved, that he was, ‘hey that’s their deal, I’m not part of it.’ But I was told in the last 24 hours, Kobe has been busy recruiting Kyrie, in particular, to try to get him to the Lakers.”
Unfortunately he may have little luck trying to sway Kyrie, apparently he’s already putting down roots in New Jersey.
Bucher says the 27-year old All-Star has already purchased a house in nearby by South Orange, New Jersey, close to where he grew up.
“It’s between Brooklyn and the Lakers… I was told in the last 24 hours Kobe has been recruiting Kyrie in particular, to get him to the Lakers. Everything I’ve heard I would still expect Kyrie is going to go to Brooklyn… He just bought a place in South Orange.” — @RicBucher pic.twitter.com/HICrTPushl

Kyrie to the Nets sounds more like it’ll happen. I can’t see him being Robin to LeBron’s Batman again.
