According to ESPN’s NBA insider Brian Windhorst, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant’s friendship has never been stronger. He revealed on his podcast Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective that the two having been talking or texting every day.
The speculation is that the two soon to be free agents are already planning their off-season moves. The Kicks have been rumored to be a possible landing spot for them.

“I’ve had someone reputable this week tell me their relationship is as strong as ever, that Durant and Kyrie talk every day and, if not, text every day.”
Windhorst is really earning his paycheck with this gem. What are they texting about? Get us something that tells us they’re teaming up in New York next season.
I don’t know why either of them would want to be on the Knicks, but there seems to be something there. At the same time they could just be getting to know each other a little better and have no plans of playing together next year. We’ll just have to sit back and wait. It should make for an entertaining summer in the NBA.
