Despite winning the Heisman Trophy this year, Kyler Murray is not playing in the NFL. This according to his agent Scott Boras, who recently passed the information along to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Murray, who was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the first round, will report to Spring Training as originally planned and will not pursue a career in the NFL.

That might be the latest information that Boras has. But Murray could decide to make a run for the NFL after the season he had at Oklahoma.
Even at 5’9″ he can light up defenses in the passing game. Not to mention Drew Brees is nearing the end of his career and he’ll need a guy to pass the short quarterback torch to.
