The Panthers have re-signed quarterback Kyle Allen to a one-year deal. The 24-year-old went 5-7 last season filling in for the injured Cam Newton.
In light of the Newton trade rumors, a one-year deal isn’t exactly handing over the team to Allen. He’s obviously going into the season as a backup to whoever the starter is.
