Kobe Bryant sat down with “The Corp” for an intense interview on business and basketball. During the interview he talked about how his 40-point game streak came to an end and it involved Phil Jackson and Shaq.
According to Bryant, Jackson came to him during the 40-point game streak and asked him to “dial it back” before he broke the record. The reason he asked Kobe to dial it back was so they didn’t lose Shaq, because he was feeling overshadowed by the streak.
Who knows if the story is true, but Kobe tells it in a convincing enough way and used it as a way to prove he was a good teammate. We all might have just been drawn in by his mystic.
