Klay Thompson isn’t expected to test free agency this year. All indications are that he will re-sign with the Warriors on a max deal.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that if there isn’t a max deal offered as soon as free agency begins, Thompson will meet with the Clippers.
“That 5-year, $190 million max offer. If it’s not there for Klay Thompson on Sunday at 6:01PM Eastern, my information is, that he would be very open to going to sit down with the Clippers.”

The NBA is a bizarre league. A guy with a torn ACL, who will miss significant time next season, can demand a max contract as soon as free agency begins or he’ll entertain other offers.
