UFC stars Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor are warriors inside the octagon, but have claimed their biggest victory outside it, finishing ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Google’s 2018 most-searched list.
Khabib and Conor’s October 7th UFC lightweight title dust-up came fourth in Google’s 2018 trend list of most searched events for the year, one ahead of the fifth-placed Russian Presidential election on March 18th, in which Putin was re-elected for a second consecutive term as president with a landslide 77 percent of votes.
The most-searched event in Russia was this summer’s 2018 World Cup, held for the first time in the country, followed by the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and the tragic Kemerovo shopping mall fire which claimed the lives of more than 60 people.
ON a side note, joining the list s Belarusian vice girl ‘Nastya Rybka’, real name Anastasia Vashukevich, who was detained in Thailand on charges of ‘indecency, conspiracy and belonging to a secret society’.
Excellent list.
