Kevin Durant was a guest on CJ McCollum’s podcast “Pull Up with CJ McCollum” earlier this month, and while the two NBA stars had a lighthearted conversation that included criticism of Durant’s 2016 signing with Golden State and the Warriors’ recent signing of DeMarcus Cousins, Durant and McCollum were more defensive on social media afterward.
McCollum, a Portland Trail Blazers guard, has long been critical of Durant’s decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder as a free agent and help round out a superteam in Oakland. McCollum wrote in a June tweet that Durant “shouldn’t have gone there [to the Warriors].”
I still think the b word is harsh and shouldn’t be used. . He know that decision was soft but I respect it. It’s like getting jumped with ur brothers by a gang you should’ve beat then joining the gang that jumped u and ur brothers 2 months later & forgetting about your bros https://t.co/BFGqQy1lwR

It didn’t take long for Durant to reply.
McCollum then tried to calm the situation with a follow-up tweet, while not directly addressing Durant.
There is no feud y’all gotta chill. It was simply an analogy. I’m done speaking on KD and the warriors bc it’s childish of me to do so and soft lol (will be taken out of context). I’ve always said what I feel but we all know I’ve never been a 🐍. Back to the grind pic.twitter.com/93B39bqKTS

Durant is far too sensitive. If you’re going to dish it out, make sure you can take it.
