Kent State is currently getting blown out by Buffalo. With plays like this one it’s really no surprise.
Kent State appears to have faked a fake punt and had their backup quarterback, Dustin Crum, attempt a punt into 30 MPH wind. It didn’t end well.
Crum’s punt appeared to go off of the side of his foot only traveling a few yards before hitting the ground and bouncing backwards for negative yardage.
So, uh, Dustin Crum, backup QB, just attempted a punt directly into 30+ MPH winds.

Attempting an actual fake punt or just throwing the ball up for grabs down the field would have probably ended in a better result than this play. Whoever called this play needs to be fired before the end of the game.
