Supermodel Kate Upton is one hot mama, welcoming her first daughter Genevieve with her MLB husband Justin Verlander in November.
“Extra’s” Renee Bargh caught up with Kate, who opened up about motherhood, which is “really fun” for her.
While “it’s great” to be a mom, Kate admitted it’s nice to get away from baby duties sometimes. She explained, “It’s that weird mixture. I probably shouldn’t be saying this, but it’s kinda, like, nice to, like, bust out of the house a little bit, get away, but always sad. I always miss her.
When she’s away from her baby, Kate loves to look at photos of Genevieve!
Of her 2-month-old daughter, who is “a really cute mixture of us both,” Kate dished. “She actually is a really good baby.”
The couple had trouble coming up with a name. Kate revealed, “It’s so high-pressure. We were going back and forth, even in the hospital we were going back and forth, and Justin had some real name-commitment issues.” She smiled, pointing out, “He knew that Genevieve was my favorite so I just left him to fill out the paper work I was like I can’t deal with that right now.”
Justin adores his little girl, even changing her diapers. Upton commented, ”It’s so special and it makes me fall in love with him even more… very hands-on, great dad!”
Are Kate and Justin planning on having more kids? She answered, “I can’t even think about having more kids now, but I hear that you forget all of the pain about everything… I’m like I am just sleeping through the night now.”
Motherhood can be tough.
