Astros ace Justin Verlander added another impressive stat to his Hall of Fame career. On Saturday night in Anaheim the 36-year-old joined the 3,000 strikeout club, becoming just the 18th member of one of pitching’s most impressive clubs.
Unlike the no-hitter Verlander threw earlier in the season, his model wife Kate Upton was in the stands for his 3,000th strikeout. She couldn’t have been prouder of her husband and shared her joy on social media.

The right-hander went six inning and struckout 12 hitters on the night to pickup his 21st win of the season. A season that could end with Verlander walking away with another Cy Young Award.
