NBA legend Karl Malone’s son and former LSU offensive lineman, K.J. Malone, announced his retirement on Monday night.  The announcement comes after spending the weekend at the Houston Texans minicamp.

K.J. pointed to a knee injury as the reason for the retirement.  In his announcement he says he’ll pursue a career in law enforcement.

It sounds like K.J. got a taste of the NFL and decided it wasn’t for him.  He knew about the knee before he signed and went to the minicamp.

Better to get out now before wasting everyone’s time pretending like he can cut it.  Good luck in law enforcement.
