It was as if the end were supposed to happen that way for Michael Jordan.
He dribbled, nudged Utah’s Bryon Russell to the side and let the ball fly. Nothing but net. And there Jordan stood, right arm extended, for a brief second, as if to say, “This is the last you’ll see of Michael Jordan, basketball player.”

Rarely do they mention “the strip.” If Jordan hadn’t caught Karl Malone napping for that brief second and slapped the ball away from him, the Bulls wouldn’t have had that game-winning shot.
