Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns spoke to the media on Monday about the car accident he and the team trainer were involved in last week. The 23-year-old says they were rear ended by a semi that was traveling 35 to 45 miles per hour.
Towns had to stop suddenly after the car in front of his slammed on the breaks as they reacted to a crash in front of them.
According to Towns he is “blessed to be alive and talking right now,” because there was a 5 percent chance he would survive the crash.

We’re not sure where Towns is getting his numbers from, but we’re glad to see he was able to walk away uninjured.
