At the end of March, Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns revealed in an emotional video that his mother, Jacqueline, was in a coma after contracting the coronavirus. Last week it was reported that his mother was still in the hospital.
On Monday, the Timberwolves announced that Towns’ mother had died from complications due to the coronavirus. In the statement from a Towns family spokesperson they thanked the medical staff that fought very hard to save her.
