Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns revealed in an emotional video last month that his mother, Jaqueline Cruz, was in a medically induced coma battling the coronavirus.
A couple weeks later and his former college head coach John Calipari revealed in a message on Facebook that she’s still in ICU.
Calipari asked for continued prayers and positive thoughts for Mrs. Cruz. He also shared optimism that she will eventually walk out of the hospital.
