The flooded safety market is a little lighter today. Former Houston Texans safety Tyrann Mathieu signed a three-year, $42 million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

That’s a lot of hair dye. That’s also a lot of cash for Mathieu aka Honey Badger, which could bode well for the other safeties on the market.
It makes sense for Tyrann to get out of Houston, especially if he wants to go deep in the playoffs. The Chiefs are in much better position to do that than the Texans currently are.
The Chiefs defense let them down last season, improving that side of the ball makes a ton of sense.
