NESN anchor Kacie McDonnell was Villanova’s sideline reporter for the Final Four for TRUTV’s streamcast. And apparently the Wildcats have her dress to thank for their National Championship win.
The Boston based reporter went on Instagram and showed off her stunning look for the game, and of course gave credit where credit was due, her lucky black dress.
The dress worked!! Brought a little 2016 to 2018. \\//
McDonnell, a Villanova University graduate, started her television career as a traffic reporter for FOX29. She later served as an Eagles pregame reporter and fill-in anchor on Good Day Philadelphia.
She left Philly in 2014, following then-fiance Aaron Murray to Kansas City after he was drafted by the Chiefs. Their romance, which flourished in 2013, ended in January 2015.
In Kansas City, McDonnell worked for 41 Action News as a reporter and anchor. She also hosted pre- and postgame broadcasts for Sporting Kansas City, the city’s Major League Soccer franchise.
While in Kansas City, though, McDonnell continued to show her support for Philly, and especially for her alma mater.

It all makes perfect sense now, it had to be the dress. Great job reporting Kacie, you looked like a true champion last night!
