Patriots receiver Julian Edelman shaved his beard. In a preview of Friday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” the Super Bowl MVP shaved his beard for charity.
Both Ellen and Julian donated $10k to the Boys & Girls Club of Boston.
Via Boston Globe:
During an extended preview of Friday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” DeGeneres offered to donate $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Boston in Edelman’s name if he would let her shave his beard, which he had been cultivating all season.
“Coach Belichick has this thing that he says: ‘Put everything in the drawer and don’t worry about it until the season’s done.’ So I put my razor actually in the drawer,” Edelman said.
He agreed to let DeGeneres shave his beard and matched her donation to the Boys & Girls Club, bringing the total to $20,000.
Everyone’s comes out a winner. The beard that was taking over Edelman’s face is gone and the Boys & Girls Club gets a nice donation.
