Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler that he bought hundreds of Mega Millions lottery tickets in an attempt to get holdout Le’Veon Bell back. Obviously his plan didn’t work.
Anything short of one of the Steelers winning the lottery from now until the trade deadline likely won’t get Bell to join the team.
The rumored plan is for Bell, who doesn’t want to be traded, to rejoin the team some time after the trade deadline at 4 p.m. on October 30th.
The one thing JuJu didn’t consider in his plan, is that Bell could have just taken the gifted lottery winnings and then retired. He gets paid and doesn’t have to put his body on the line.
