Astros outfielder Josh Reddick learned the hard way that Mets first baseman Pete Alonso is a very big man. The unfortunate lesson came when a side arm throw from the pitcher caused Alonso to make the catch in the basepath.
Reddick had his helmet knocked off and fell to the ground immediately after the collision. Both men seemed to be okay afterwards.

That’s not the kind of collision you want to see in a meaningless Spring Training game. Save those for the games that count.
You can bet the two men will feel this hit for a couple of days.
