On Monday night Orioles first baseman Chris Davis went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts. The $160 million man set and then extended the record for most consecutive at-bats without a hit.
Davis is now hitless in his last 49 at-bats and although he hit a couple of balls hard in the 12-4 win over the A’s, there’s no end to his misery in sight.
Things are so bad for Davis that former MLB star Jose Canseco reached out and offered to help.

It’s worth a shot. Nothing else has worked up to this point and maybe a little one on one with Canseco is just what the doctor ordered. Nevermind the fact that hanging with Jose is a once in a lifetime experience.
Davis better do something soon to get his swing back or he’ll find himself riding the pine or spending time in the minors.
