The Houston Astros placed second baseman Jose Altuve on the 10 day disabled list. This is the first time in his career that he will spend time on the DL, he’s been battling right knee soreness since Wednesday.

Altuve was asked about being placed on the DL and the AL MVP was clearly not happy about it. This is an against his will DL stint.

Altuve may not have wanted to be placed on the DL, but the Astros will need him at 100 percent if they plan to repeat last year’s World Series run.
