Cubs pitcher Jon Lester has well documented issues throwing the ball to first base. He’s tried several methods to cure himself, including a bounce pass to the base.
On Monday night he picked a runner off of first base and did so by throwing it to first baseman Anthony Rizzo. Mets infielder Amed Rosario took a 20 foot lead and found out the hard way that Lester’s yips might be cured.

Who knew a professional baseball player, who gets paid a lot of money to throw a baseball, would get attention for throwing the ball to a base? It was big news for Cubs fans.
