Johnny Manziel and his wife Bre Tiesi called it quits back in March after she accused the former NFL quarterback of breaking their vows. He later confirmed the split, but has been relatively quiet about it since then.
“This is all very, very personal and very sad. I appreciate everyone who has been so supportive of both of us and I would just ask that everyone respect our privacy at this difficult time. My hope is to put my head down and be allowed to focus on work and what is required of me on the football field,” the 26-year-old Memphis Express quarterback told TMZ.
Manziel broke that silence this weekend as Bre celebrated her 28th birthday. He took to Instagram and apologized to his estranged wife before telling her he loves her for life.
“HBD B. There would be no life for me without you having come into mine. Through everything we’ve overcome I just want to say I’m sorry. For not being there more and doing what I can to make you truly happy. You deserve it all and then some. Love ya for life”

Is it an attempt by Manziel to patch things up? It could be, it could also just be a way for him to apologize and let her know he was thinking of her as she celebrated her birthday. Bre didn’t seem to be open to any kind of reconciliation when she first announced the split, but time could change things.
