Jimmy Butler left Friday night’s Timberwolves-Rockets game in the 3rd quarter after injuring his knee. He suffered the non-contact injury after planting his foot.
Butler was unable to put weight on his right leg after the injury and needed help to get off of the floor. After the game the Timberwolves were hopeful that he avoided an ACL injury.
That’s good news if you’re a Timberwolves or Butler fan. An MRI on Saturday will be performed to determine the extent of the injury.
Torn ACL or not, it looks like Butler is going to get some of that rest he wants.

MRI Saturday will give final word, but there is some optimism in @JimmyButler camp that he may have at least avoided the worst—an ACL tear—on Friday.
