Jim Rome on Kyrie Irving “He’s Robin, But Thinks He’s Batman”

The talk in the aftermath of the Bucks destroying the Celtics has surrounded Kyrie Irving’s terrible play and where he will end up playing next season.  One thing that was clear from the series is Irving can’t carry a team by himself.

Jim Rome took the fact that Kyrie can’t carry a team by himself a step further.  He said of the soon-to-be free agent that “he’s Robin, but thinks he’s Batman.”

Kyrie certainly had that mentality when he was traded to the Celtics.  But he’s a smart guy and if he didn’t figure it out during the regular season, the postseason smacked him in the face with that reality.

Kyrie and Kevin Durant to the Knicks is coming.
