Over the weekend it was reported that Jets were interested in hiring former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning to fill their General Manager vacancy.
On Monday NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Jets were going to begin interviewing for their General Manager job this week and that the plans don’t involve Peyton Manning.

Of course not. Even if Manning was looking to become a GM, he wouldn’t take the Jets job. He’s not a crazy person.
Nobody in their right mind would take that job, especially not as their first shot at being a GM in the NFL. Their front office is an absolute mess.
