The 30-year-old Maclin played 8 seasons in the NFL with the Eagles, Chiefs and Ravens. He took to Twitter after making the announcement saying there will be a letter and a video coming out explaining how and why he is retiring.
There will be a letter and video to follow soon in the near future. It is true I am retiring from the NFL! Stay tuned for how/why I came to this decision. Much love everyone!

Maclin’s decision to retire seems pretty obvious, unless there is some sort of injury he suffered that hasn’t been made public. Either way, enjoy retirement and growing your young family.
