James Miller is reporting that Jemele Hill will be leaving ESPN on 9/1. According to Miller, the departure is amicable one and The Woldwide Leader in Sports will be buying out her contract.

Hill reportedly requested a meeting with ESPN president Jimmy Pitaro. That meeting took place and a departure was agreed upon.

This news comes just a day after the announcement that Michelle Beadle was leaving “Get Up.” There isn’t any news on what Hill will be doing next, but we can assume it will continue to be behind the scenes, as has been her preference since leaving SportsCenter.
