On Wednesday Jalen Rose revealed that what he’s hearing about free agent Kawhi Leonard’s situation, is there’s a 99% chance he re-signs with the Raptors.
Rose said Kawhi plans to sign a two-year deal so that he’ll hit 10 years of service when the contract ends and be available for a supermax deal.
Rose isn’t the only one hearing that Kawhi plans to re-sign with the Raptors, but according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, the information isn’t coming from Kawhi’s camp.
An NBA player likely to be impacted by the Kawhi decision dominoes texted me that he has heard the same thing. But that info/gossip is not coming directly from Kawhi Leonard or his advisors. #grainofsalt https://t.co/Zk3XhoulCe

We’ve said it from the start, re-signing with the Raptors on a short-term deal makes the most sense for Kawhi. Run it back and try to repeat the magic of this season. With the Kawhi situation still up in the air, now may be a good time to place a bet on the Raptors for 2020. If Leonard does return, Toronto’s odds will change significantly.
