Hours after the Jaguars announced that they fired their offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, they announced that Blake Bortles has been benched for Sunday’s game against the Colts. Backup Cody Kessler will get the start.

What a difference a season makes. Just last season Bortles led Jacksonville to the AFC Championship game, now he’ll be sitting on the bench Sunday having played himself out of the starting job.
The 24-21 loss on Sunday to the Bills dropped the Jaguars record to 3-8, essentially ending their season. Is this benching a sign that the Jaguars are ready to move on from Bortles?
Things certainly don’t look good for the 26-year-old former first round draft pick.
