Jacoby Brissett took over the Colts starting job last season after the surprise retirement of Andrew Luck. He landed a two-year, $30 million deal in September.
Indianapolis finished 7-9 with Brissett going 7-8 in 15 starts. That wasn’t good enough for Brissett to keep his job.
The Colts signed 38-year-old Philip Rivers to a one-year, $25 million deal this offseason. The move didn’t sit well with Brissett who is now the backup.
