Islanders defenseman Johnny Boychuk unfortunately took a skate right to the face during Tuesday night’s loss to the Canadiens.
Boychuk shoved Canadiens left wing Artturi Lehkonen in the back and as he fell his skate caught Boychuk right in the face.

After taking the skate to the face, Boychuk fell to the ice in a ton of pain. He then popped up and skated off the ice to get medical attention.
