The St. Louis Blues had a 3-2 series lead in the Stanley Cup Final heading into Game 6 on Sunday night. Everything was lined up for the franchise’s first championship.
Then Blues superfan Jon Hamm showed up to the game without his playoff beard and the Boston Bruins kicked the Blues square in the junk with a 5-1 blowout win.
This is legit unbelievable. If @StLouisBlues lose this series it will forever be the curse of Big Dick Hamm for shaving his playoff beard. He must have thought this series was over already like the rest of the city. pic.twitter.com/3uzKd4SPG7

While Hamm didn’t take the ice, the premature shaving of his playoff beard has to take some of the blame. You can’t shave a playoff beard in the Stanley Cup Final.
The series is going back to Boston for Game 7 on Wednesday, although home ice hasn’t really existed in this series, Game 7 is a different animal.
All of the pressure will be on the Blues and Jon Hamm to quickly regrow a playoff beard towards Wednesday.
