Getting thrown out of a game you aren’t playing in takes some effort. Just ask Padres second baseman Ian Kinsler. The 37-year-old managed to pull it off during Wednesday night’s 2-0 loss to the Dodgers.
In the top of the 5th inning Kinsler was tossed for arguing balls and strikes from the dugout, while not in the lineup. Umpire Scott Barry gave Kinsler an opportunity to stop chirping before sending him to the showers.
Hopefully Kinsler made the most of his early exit and got some extra swings in. He’s hitting just .171 on the season, his first in San Diego.
