In the third period of Game 6 of the Hurricanes and Capitals game an Alex Ovechkin goal that would have tied the game was waved off. Here’s the goal.

The goal was waved off by the referee because he ruled that Ovechkin forced goaltender and the puck across the goal line and that’s against the rules. The officials reviewed the no goal call and it was upheld. Ovechkin didn’t agree.

The Caps captain would later be ejected for mocking the referees and the Hurricanes would win 5-2 to force a Game 7.
