A 42-year-old Zamboni driver made history on Saturday when he stepped in as an emergency goalie for the Carolina Hurricanes.  Both goalies, James Reimer and Petr Mrazek, were hurt during the game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

David Ayres, the Zamboni driver who filled in as the Hurricanes goalie, stopped 8 of 10 shots he faced and became the first emergency goalie in NHL history to win a game.
