Today Show anchor Hoda was overcome with emotion on the Today show on Friday after praising the New Orleans Saints star for his generosity.
After thanking Drew for inspiring others to donate and help out, she broke down in tears and was unable to continue speaking.
Her co-star Savannah Guthrie, who is currently working from home after coming down with a ‘mild sore throat’ had to take over.
Hoda was praised on social media for her show of emotion, with comments pouring in from fans who offered words of support and love.

The mother-of-two has been working in the studio alone since last Wednesday, when Savannah revealed that she would be working from home.
Hoda is a dedicated New Orleans Saints fan, having spent six years working as an anchor for CBS affiliate WWL in New Orleans from 1992 to 1998
New Orleans is currently experiencing the highest growth in coronavirus cases seen anywhere in the world.
