Miami Heat wing Josh Richardson will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder, the team announced.
Richardson dislocated his shoulder in February and missed the last eight games.
The 30-year-old averaged 9.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 43 games this season, while shooting 44.4% from the field and a career-high 94.4% from the free throw line.
Richardson signed a two-year deal with the Heat last offseason, with a player option worth $3.1 million for the summer, according to Spotrac. He spent the first four seasons of his career in Miami and averaged a career-high 16.6 points during the 2018-19 season.
The Heat rank sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 35-26 record. They take on the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
