Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young will be re-evaluated in four weeks after undergoing surgery on a torn ligament in his finger, the team announced on Sunday.
Young suffered the injury in Friday’s 123-121 loss to the Toronto Raptors.
The 25-year-old, fresh off his third career All-Star game, is averaging 26.4 points and 10.8 assists per game. It’s the fifth time in his six NBA seasons that he’s averaging at least 25 points and nine assists.
The 24-32 Hawks occupy the final Play-In Tournament spot in the Eastern Conference and sit three games up on the No. 11 Brooklyn Nets.
Atlanta is 2-3 without Young in the lineup this season.
