Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was ejected from Saturday’s loss to the Blazers.  There was some confusion as to which one of his assistants took over the head coaching duties following his ejection.

If it was assistant Becky Hammon, who was promoted to head assistant last year, then she would have made history.  She would have been the first woman to serve as a head coach in the major men’s professional sports in the U.S.

According to Popovich, that didn’t happen and he’s not here to make history.  He said Tim Duncan was the coach when he was ejected.
