Veteran tight end Greg Olsen has played his last game for the Carolina Panthers.  The 34-year-old announced on Twitter that he met with general manager Marty Hurney on Thursday and the result of that meeting is that they’re parting ways.

The move will save the Panthers $8 million in cap space for next season.  Olsen will remain on the team’s roster until after the Super Bowl.
