CBS is planning to make Tony Romo the highest paid NFL analyst on TV. The former Cowboys quarterback has one more year remaining on his contract with the network, but CBS isn’t prepared to lose him to a competitor.
Romo’s performance during the AFC Championship game has increased his stock and earned him some major cash.
Via New York Post:
Before that can happen, CBS is prepared to give Romo a substantial raise from, according to sources, the $4 million range that he currently makes. Next year is the final season of his three-year contract. It is hard to see how he does not become the highest-paid NFL TV analyst.
The legend of Tony Romo is growing.
Who would come out of retirement when they can make the kind of money Romo is set to rake in?
