Georgia’s starting quarterback Jake Fromm broke his left hand on Wednesday in what is being described as a freak accident.  He was out on the back of a boat when the handle off of a rope used for wake boarding hit his hand.

Fromm is expected to be just fine and will not miss any time, via UGA Sports:

According to the source, it is not a serious injury. Apparently Fromm was with a group of friends who were trying to get someone up on a wake board, and their pull rope slipped away, snapping the attached handle back to hit Fromm in the hand. It was just a freak accident as all Fromm was doing was sitting in the back of the boat. The Georgia quarterback was just unlucky.

We are told he will be in a splint for a couple weeks, and no cast was needed. He will resume throwing in a 7-on-7 session tomorrow.

That’s good news for Bulldogs fans.  When you hear freak accident on the fourth of July you’re expecting something much worse.
