The Georgetown Hoyas are off to a 3-0 start after beating Illinois 88-80 on Tuesday night. As good as the game was, the postgame interview with head coach Patrick Ewing was even better.
The former NBA star, who played his college ball at Georgetown, was praising the play of freshman James Akinjo when he let slip that he thought his young guard “showed some nut.”
The choice of words made the folks at FS1 who were interviewing Ewing laugh. Ewing himself cracked a smile after he realized what he said and he changed the word to “cajones.”

This must be some of that locker room talk everyone was talking about. We know one thing, this kind of talk would never happen in a LeBron James locker room.
The Hoyas and their nuts look like they’re going to make some noise this season. They should be fun to watch.
