The CBS This Morning anchor has faced fierce backlash after she asked Leslie if Bryant’s legacy is complicated by his 2003 rape allegation
King said she was ‘angry’ that her network posted a ‘salacious’ clip with that part of the interview ‘out of context’
She defended the question and said it was one of many topics they discussed
King also said Leslie’s response in defense of Bryant was ‘very powerful’
The former Los Angeles Sparks player who met Bryant when he was 18 said the man she knew would never do ‘something to violate a woman’
Rapper 50Cent was among the many critics who slammed King for bringing up the rape allegation
