The hot stove is starting to heat up, including the Bryce Harper sweepstakes. You have to have those free agents signed before Spring Training.
Harper has reportedly received multiple 10-year offers. There aren’t any details on who made the offers and what the money looks like.
Despite the White Sox information ( not going over 7 years) sources indicate that Bryce Harper has had ten year offers and big AAV offers from clubs that should go with a 5 WAR player .

One team that didn’t make one of the 10-year offers is the Chicago White Sox. They aren’t willing to offer Harper or Manny Machado more than 7 years.
Reports of the White Sox offering ten plus years for Manny Machado or Bryce Harper are ”Without any substance and flat out wrong “ according to high ranking industry sources . Wh Sox will not be giving offer of more than 7 years for either player.

Good luck to whoever signs Harper to a 10-year monster deal. Sure he’s a good player, but even the best players aren’t worth 10-year deals. Take a look at the teams who have signed stars to these types of deals and how it worked out for the franchises.
