Former Red Sox star David Ortiz has been reportedly shot in the leg during an apparent robbery attempt in the Dominican Republic.
Ortiz’s condition is unknown at this time, we will post updates as we become aware of his condition.
What we do know is that the shooting took place at some sort of nightclub and that Ortiz was transported to a local hospital.

.@Enrique_Rojas1 spoke to David Ortiz's father after learning that he was shot in a burglary attempt in the DR: "They called me to tell me that David is injured and that they took him to a medical center, but they did not tell me how he is or exactly where he was transferred."
